Supply List:

Bring your own Twisted Star pattern
Rotary cutter
Cutting mat
6″ by 24″ ruler
6″ by 12″ ruler
Add-a-quarter ruler
Purple thang
Scotch tape
UHU washout fabric glue
Marking pencil
Chalk or a regular pencil
Flower pins
Scissors
Freezer paper
Small stapler if you have one.

Fabric: Follow the yardage chart on the back of the pattern for the required amounts of fabric needed to complete the size quilt you have chosen to make. When picking out your background fabrics keep this in mind. You can use 1 color, 4 colors, or as many as 12 colors. It doesn not make a difference. If you use 4 or more colors you will need to divide the colors into Background 1, Background 2, Background 3, and Background 4. These instructions are in your pattern. It will probably be a good idea if you read the instructions before coming to class.

Templates: You will need to make a plastic template of each of the templates that are listed in your pattern. Photocopy the template pages in your pattern and then paste them onto a sheet of template plastic. You should use rubber cement or a glue stick to attach the paper to the template plastic. This will save you from rewriting all the instructions that are written on the templates.

Bring the following items to class as listed below:

Twelve (12) Foundation A-papers trimmed.

Eleven (11) Foundation B-papers trimmed.

One (1) Foundation D-edge paper trimmed.

Eleven (11) Foundation C-papers trimmed.

All the previously, made templates.

Three (3) light fat quarters and 3 dark fat quarters for the stars.

Two (2) strips 5-1/4″ by 42″ from Background #1.

Four (4) strips 4-1/2″ by 42″ from Background #2.

Three (3)strips 6″ by 42″ from Background #3.

Two (2) strips 5-1/2″ by 42″ from Background #4.

Two (2) strips 2-1/4″ by 22″ from each of the 6 colors picked for the ribbon.

Six (6) extra Ziploc bags.

1. Place the twelve (12) Foundation A-papers into a plastic Ziploc bag along with the strips cut from background #3 and background #4.

2. Place the eleven (11) Foundation B-papers and one (1) Foundation D-edge paper into a plastic Ziploc bag along with the strips cut from background #1 and background #2.

3. Place the foundation C-papers into a Ziploc bag along with the 2-1/4″ strips cut from the six (6) ribbon fabrics.

If you choose to cut out all the pieces needed to complete your quilt before class, it is okay. These cutting instructions are on pages 3, 4, & 5. I am including my home page and e-mail address for anyone who wants to look at my samples or anyone who may need more information about sizes, yardages, or fabric selections before class.
