One for All Seasons Table Runner Class: This is a one-day class designed to teach you the simplicity of foundation paper piecing along with simple stack and slice techniques to speed up your cutting time. You will need to purchase a copy of the pattern listed above for this class.

The pattern includes the yardage instructions, template making instructions, and the foundation papers. Read your pattern and complete the instructions below prior to class.

Fabric#1: Small Star Fabric: 1/3 Yard:

Fabric#2: Large Star Fabric: 1 Yard:

Fabric#3: Background Fabric: 1-1/3 Yard:

Cutting Instructions for the templates: Make one copy of the template pages in the middle of your pattern. Cut out one (1) template layout sheet for the MCS and TCS units. Cut out one (1) copy of the B-1, B-2, and B-3 templates. Cut out one (1) copy of the Cutout template. Glue the B-1, B-2, B-3, and Cutout template onto a piece of template plastic.

Cutting Instructions for the MCS Units:

Fabric #3: Cut four (4) 6-1/4″ by 42″ strips out of your (background Fabric #3). Cut twelve (12) 6-1/4″ by 11-1/2″ rectangles from these strips and bring them to class. Do not cut the rectangles using the template layout sheets. Save this step for class.

Fabric #2: Cut four (4) 6-1/2″ by 42″ strips from your (large star Fabric #2). Cross-cut these strips into eighty-four (84) 1-3/4″ by 6-1/2″ rectangles. Place the MCS template layout sheet and all of the fabric pieces into Bag #1.

Cutting Instructions for the TCS Units:

Fabric #2: Cut two (2) 4″ by 42″ strips out of your (large star Fabric #2). Cut twelve (12) 4″ by 6-1/2″ rectangles from these strips and bring them to class. Do not cut the rectangles using the template layout sheets. Save this step for class.

Fabric #1: Cut two (2) 4-3/4″ by 42″ strips from your (small star Fabric #3). Cross-cut these strips into thirty-six (36) 1-1/4″ by 4-3/4″ rectangles. Place the TCS template layout sheet and all of the fabric pieces into Bag #2.

Background Templates B-1, B-2, and B-3:

Fabric #3: Cut four (4) pieces for each template from your (background Fabric #3). Place these pieces into Bag #3.

Note: The cutout template is not used until after the piecing is completed.

Fold Template (3″ by 12″ pieces of Template Plastic)
12″ Add-a-quarter ruler
Purple Thang (optional)
6″ by 24″ ruler
Medium size cutting mat
Rotary cutter
New rotary blade
Size 70 microtex needles
Scissors (small)
Seam ripper
Surge protectors
Extension cords
Fabric glue UHU stic
High quality cotton sewing thread
Flower pins
Scotch Tape
Stapler
24 Small or medium size binder clips or large paper clips
