The Starbaby layout includes foundation papers to make (4) 16” blocks that create a small lonestar. The pattern was designed by Judy and Bradley Niemeyer and creates an introductory pattern that can be completed in just a few hours and used to learn basic paper piecing techniques that can be applied to many of our lone star projects.
Look for larger designs such as Goodnight Star, where the block is repeated over and over using a variety of color options or play with it in Quiltster using different sized layouts. There are enough papers in this pattern to make (2) Starbaby wall quilts. And, replacement papers are available if you want to try out one of the larger layouts. The Goodnight Star Pattern has been published as a stand alone design.
This pattern is available in Quiltster! This means you can color the quilt with your favorite fabric collections in Quiltster before you make it. Quiltster will even provide you with yardage!
