In this 3 day workshop, Jenny will show you two sewing techniques referred to as foundation paper piecing and foundation strip piecing to assemble the units required to make this quilt. Traditional piecing and curved piecing techniques are used to join the units after the foundation piecing is completed. Jenny will also show you an optional way of using the Creative Grids Diamond Wedding Ring Templates to cut out your fabrics. This is a great beginner paper piecing project, but is also a quick project for any level quilter with paper piecing experience. It finishes 46″ x 46″ for a nice wall hanging, table topper, or even a baby quilt.
Day 1 lessons will be cutting papers & fabrics, getting organized, and making the diamond arcs and start the border units with strip piecing.
Day 2 lessons will be curved piecing, marking and using registration points, and making the Feathered Star block.
Day 3 lessons will be the templates for the border, more curved piecing, and assembling the quilt.
