Fabric Selection: Before selecting fabric read Page 2 of your pattern. Also read through the yardage information on the back page of your pattern.
Foundation Papers and Template Sheets: Please read and follow the instructions on Page 1 and 2 of your pattern. Also read and follow the instructions under ‘Setting up your Bags #1-4’ on page 2 of your pattern.
Cutting Instructions: Please read through ‘General Information’ on page 1 of your pattern before completing the steps below. We recommend checking our website for pattern corrections before you begin cutting your fabric. Note: Please make sure all of the Template Sheets, Foundation Sheets, and fabric pieces are placed in the correct bags!
Cutting the Strips: Follow steps 1 – 7 under ‘Cutting the Strips’ on page 2 and 3 of your pattern. Place pieces in the bags specified.
The following items are needed to make this quilt. Please make sure you bring the following items to class if they will not be provided by the organizer. They are essential to the techniques I teach:
Sewing Machine with a quarter-inch foot and Accessories
Steam Iron
Ironing Board
One piece of Template Plastic (3″ by 18″ piece)
12″ Add-a-quarter ruler or 18” Add-a-Quarter Ruler (some pieces are big, so you might want the bigger ruler, but please just choose one).
Purple Thang (optional)
6″ by 12″ ruler
Medium size cutting mat (18” by 24”)
Rotary cutter 45mm or 60 mm (Choose 1 size)
Replacement rotary blade
Size 70 needles (Microtex recommended)
Scissors
Seam ripper
Surge protectors
Extension cords
Fabric glue UHU stic
Glue Pen (Fons and Porter, Sewline, or Avery recommended)
High quality cotton sewing thread
Flower pins
Scotch Tape
Large Ziploc Bags
Stapler
Binder Clips
Large Paper Clips
