Fabric Selection: You can use three Bali Pops packages (or any prepackaged 2½” strips) or you can purchase yardage if you would like to mix and match your own fabrics. (Refer to the yardage chart on page 15, for the size quilt you would like to make).
Preparing the Template sheets: Please refer to “Background Templates” on page 1 of your pattern.
Preparing the Foundation Papers: Please refer to “Foundation Papers” on page 1 of your pattern. Please have (7) each of Unit A and Unit B cut out.
Fabric Strips: Please have all of your 2 ½ inch strips cut. Refer to the fabric chart on page 15of your pattern for the required number of strips for the size quilt you are making. You do not need to arrange your ring color sets as Judy will go over this in class.
Preparing your Background Fabrics: Read through “Preparing your Background Fabrics” on page 5 of your pattern and follow the instructions.
Background Template Cutting Instructions: Read and follow the cutting instructions under“Background Template Cutting Instructions” on page 6 of your pattern.
*Do not cut the Flying Geese at this time as you will use the remaining strips from your arc sets for the Flying Geese.

12″ Add-a-Quarter ruler
Purple thang (optional)
6″ x 12″ ruler
Medium size cutting mat (18″ x 24″)
Rotary cutter 45 mm or 60 mm
New rotary blade
Size 70 needles (microtex recommended)
Scissors
Seam ripper
Surge protector
Extension Cord
Fabric glue UHU stic
Glue Pen (Sewline recommended)
High quality cotton sewing thread (60 weight recommended)
Flowerhead pins
Scotch tape
Large Ziploc Bags
Stapler
Binder Clips (Small and Medium)
