Fabric Requirements for Class: The fabric requirements for this quilt will depend on the size of quilt you plan to make. The yardage instructions are on the back page of the pattern. Listed below in the precutting instructions you will find the amount of fabric pieces you will need to cut from each of your templates before coming to class. If you are not sure about your fabric selections then cut these pieces out of some of your scraps so you can learn the process for making this quilt during class.
Templates: You will need to make a plastic template of each of the templates shown in the pattern. Make a photocopy of each of the templates pages. If you have access to Avery label paper in the 8 1/2″ by 11″ sheets this is a great way to make templates. Photocopy the templates onto the Avery label paper, then peel the back off and place the sticky side down onto your template plastic. These templates need to be made prior to class. They are used to cut out your fabric pieces from the strips listed below.
Foundation Paper: You will need to cut out the foundation papers from one page of AS-1, one page of BS-2, and one page of CS-3. These will need to be ready to use in class. Trim the excess paper from your foundation paper about 1/8″ away from the outside cutting line. Do not cut out any of the other foundation paper before class. I will be demonstrating a quick and easy way to trim the rest of foundation paper in class.
