Fabric: Follow the yardage chart on the back of the pattern for the required amounts of fabric needed to complete the size quilt you have chosen to make. These instructions are in your pattern. You need to read the instructions before buying fabric and coming to class.
Templates: You will need to make a plastic template of each of the templates that are listed in your pattern. Photocopy the template pages given in the pattern. Paste the whole sheet onto a sheet of template plastic and then cut out the individual pieces.
Bring the following items to class as listed below. Follow the cutting instructions on pages 2 and 3 to cut the following pieces. If you want to cut out the whole quilt this is fine.
1. Bring all the previously, made templates.
2. Bring the following items precut and place in a bag marked unit-1
Twelve (12) unit-1 foundation papers pre-trimmed.
Twelve (12) light background pieces pre-cut from color #1, using template #1. Pay attention to the cutting instructions. Fabric pieces are directional. This information is on your templates.

3. Bring the following items precut and place in a bag marked unit-2

Twelve (12) small stars cut from color #6, using template #4.
Twelve (12) large stars cut from color #5, using template #3.
4. Bring the foundation border pieces for Border-1, Border-2, and Border-3, but do not pre-cut them.
5. Bring the separating border fabric and the border fabric.
Color Chart: Fix a color chart numbering your fabric from 1 through 7. You do not need to use 7 colors. Some of the colors can be repeated. It would be a good idea to read the instruction before picking out your colors.
If you choose to cut out all the pieces needed to complete your quilt before class its okay. Just remember that some of these pieces require a left side cut and a right side cut. If you mess up then the fabric will be wasted so if you are unsure then call me before class or wait for class.
