Tarnished Windmill

Pre-class instructions.

Purchase your pattern and fabrics (support the event sponsor if possible).

Cut out all papers and fabric using the pattern instructions.  Be sure to organize everything in zip-lock bags as instructed.  This will take some time, so don’t wait until the evening before class.

In addition, you will need the following supplies (check to see if any are supplied at the venue):

Sewing Machine with a quarter-inch foot and a general sewing foot.  An extension table is VERY helpful.  Be sure you bring a sewing machine you are familiar with that is in good repair and ready to sew. 

 Steam Iron

Ironing Board

Two pieces of Template Plastic (3″ by 6″ piece and 3″ by 12″ piece)

12″ Add-a-quarter ruler  and 6″ Add-a-quarter ruler

Purple Thang

6″ by 24″ ruler

Medium size cutting mat

Rotary cutter  (60 MM preferred) with New rotary blade

Size 70 needles ( microtex is preferred)

Scissors ,Seam ripper, Pins 

Surge protectors and Extension cords

Fabric glue (UHU stic  or any non toxic, acid free,washable stick and a glue pen)

High quality cotton sewing thread

Scotch Tape

Large Ziploc Bags (Gallon)

Stapler

Large Paper Clips (and Binder Clips if you are doing a large quilt)
