Pre-cutting instructions to be completed prior to class:

Pre-Class: Please view these YouTube videos on foundation papers and templates prior to class:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X5DMxDfYlw0
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=867AdRGJkm8

If you feel comfortable cutting your foundation and template papers ** after watching these videos, go ahead and prepare and cut your foundation papers and templates and place them into the appropriate bag as indicated in the pattern. (see pg 2 in pattern) If you are not sure, this will be one of the first steps on your first day of class.
**Foundation papers are cut at least 1/8” outside of solid line. Template layout sheets are cut on the solid line. Do not sub-cut the templates at this time.

Please SORT & LABEL your fabrics prior to class as follows:
• Label all of your fabrics and glue a small fabric swatch onto your pattern page 2 to keep yourself organized. You don’t need to put pieces of your strips, but put swatches of your corner and star accent pieces.
• Organize and cut your fabrics into the appropriate size WOF strips and place into the correct bag # as indicated on pages 3 & 4 and 7 & 8 of the pattern. Please DO NOT subcut into smaller cuts after cutting WOF strips. If you are unsure about cutting, we will go through pattern and complete this on the first day of class. Having your fabric organized and your strips cut ahead of time will save class time and allow you to be able to get sewing your pieces together faster!
