Zoom class prep Instructions

Welcome!  You have signed up for an online ZOOM class and want to prepare!

The first best prep you can do is to make sure your machine is in working order.  You’ll want to maybe lift the throat plate and clean out any accumulated lint and gunk found in and around the bobbin and feed dog area.  This will insure that you don’t have problems with skipped stitches and your machine will run smoothly and quietly throughout the class.  It’s also a good idea to have an extra bobbin or two wound and ready to go.

The next prep is to make sure you have all your paper piecing tools at hand:

Cutting mat, rotary cutter with new blade, add-a-quarter ruler, folding template, iron and ironing surface, repositionable glue stick, glue pen, scissors, seam ripper, (tweezers, stylus or purple thang – optional)

Make sure the device you will be using is fully charged and that you have a place nearby to plug it in if necessary.  Also make sure to situate the device in a spot that you can view it hands free, and also in a place where the instructor can see you – so they can assist you when needed.
