Here's what's new at Quiltworx for June 2022

NEW PATTERNS • NEW DIGITIZED QUILTING DESIGN

You may have noticed in recent weeks a flurry of blue quilts being released. That’s because our newest mini collection Blueberry Tart, shipped, and we released two new patterns and two patterns with updated colorways featuring this beautiful collection! In addition to those we’ve got some fabulous new patterns using fabrics from your favorite Free Spirit Fabrics designers.

As always, If you’re interested in kits for the patterns, we’ve provided several links with each project that will take you to: Quiltworx kits in Quiltster, Certified Shop/Certified Instructor kits in Quiltster, and finally to our Quiltworx Kits and Classes group on Facebook. If there aren’t any kits listed in Quiltster, our Facebook group is a great place to search for, or request a kit. We’ll also be featuring the Quiltworx kits in Quiltster with the patterns below if we have any.

NEW PATTERNS

Autumn Wildwoods

We just love the earthy, vivid, natural feel of our newest pattern Autumn Wildwoods featuring fabrics from the Into the Woods 2 collection created by Katrinka Designs with FreeSpirit Fabrics. The combo creates a stunning impression of nature’s beauty that we hope you’ll love! Check out this really fun video with Katrinka explaining how she came up with her fabric designs!

Check out one of the featured projects Judy will be teaching at the Garden of Quilts Show Friday, September 16th! The Blue Moon Placemat pattern makes six 12×18 placemats. We used the B and D Group blocks from the Fireworks Mixer series. The cover quilts were quilted by Cathie Boucher-Sollman. Don’t wait for the blue moon to buy yours!

We are releasing an update of Diamonds in Bloom featuring fabrics from our Tonga Blueberry Tart mini collection from Timeless Treasures! The layout is the same as the Prismatic Star Queen, but there is a paper pieced border that is added to this quilt! Additionally, the foundation papers for the diamonds are written to give you flexibility for 16 different fabrics, instead of 8.

Please note, spaces that are shown as blank in this design were quilted using line work following the shape of the units and pieces in the blocks. This type of quilting approach is typically easier to accomplish and place without a digitized option. It is up to you how you choose to quilt these open spaces!
