Happy Fall everyone! It’s getting to be the time of year where it’s really cozy to stay in and sew, and we have some new patterns and digitized quilting designs that may just be perfect for your next project. We also want to remind you of Judy’s free online demonstration coming next month for The Beach House! There’s still time to pick up your pattern and kit and quilt along with Judy!

As always, if you’re interested in kits for the new patterns, we’ve provided several links with each project that will take you to: Quiltworx kits in Quiltster, Certified Shop/Certified Instructor kits in Quiltster, and finally to our Quiltworx Kits and Classes group on Facebook. If there aren’t any kits listed in Quiltster, our Facebook group is a great place to search for, or request a kit. Goodnight Star – Free Online Demo Coming Soon!

96×96 • Fabrics: Free Spirit – True Colors by Tula Pink

We’ve reimagined The Goodnight Star using fabrics from Tula Pink’s True Colors collection by Free Spirit, and the results are bold and bright! At 96″x96″ The Goodnight Star is a larger version of the Starbaby pattern, and it’s a perfect project for learning the paper piecing techniques needed for many of our lone star projects. PLUS Judy will be doing a free video series on this quilt in December, so there’s no better time to get your pattern!

Goodnight Star Tula

With this kit, you can follow along with Judy while she shows you the steps to make this quilt! The kit includes fabrics, pattern, and binding. It can be purchased with or without the pattern, however, we recommend that if you do not have the pattern with the colorway shown on the coversheet already, that you purchase the pattern option for the workshop and to make this quilt. It will make it much more straight forward to cut, sort, stack and prepare your fabrics for piecing.

Cinnamon Sticks

Wall: 68×68 & Queen: 99×99 • Fabrics: Hoffman Fabrics – Sweater Weather Collection

Cinnamon Sticks is the first pattern made from our Arctic Star Mixer series. It’s 68×68 but can bee expanded to 99×99 with your choice of queen sized on-point borders. The queen sample on the cover uses JNQ242D008 expansion border. In early 2023, we’ll be publishing borders that will allow expansion to a king size quilt too.

We’ve teamed up with Riley Blake to create these gorgeously reimagined Desert Sky colorways featuring fabrics from Riley Blake’s Expressions Batiks. We’re offering both a warm and cool colorway this time, and we hope you love them as much as we do. Now is a great time to purchase one of the most popular patterns in our history. It is 48×54, but can be expanded into Twin, Queen, or King Sized quilt with the purchase of extra foundation papers.

Congo Star

96×96 • Fabrics: Timeless Treasures – Blackberry Cobbler Mini by Judy and Judel Niemeyer

This updated Congo Star is one of 4 patterns we designed featuring our newest fabric line, the Tonga Blackberry Cobbler Mini collection. At 96×96, it is considered a queen sized version of our Amazon Star quilt because it uses a similar layout, but is slightly smaller. We’ve incorporated all of our newest techniques which makes this a breeze to put together!

Congo Star in Blackberry Cobbler

This kit has been packaged by booklet and includes an updated pattern. Each kit includes 21-5/8 yards of fabric, including the binding, and can only be purchased with the pattern.

This updated Sea Holly is the 2nd of 4 patterns we designed featuring our newest fabric line, the Tonga Blackberry Cobbler Mini collection. It’s 65×65 but the pattern includes instructions on how to expand to a 74″ quilt, or a 100″ Queen quilt with the purchase of additional borders.

Raspberry Parfait by Judy and Judel Niemeyer

The limited edition Fields of Aster pattern is 91×91, and the newest release using blocks from our Queen Star Mixer series, and features fabrics from our Tonga Raspberry Parfait Mini Collection. It is a Collector’s Club Design, and so only 500 patterns are being made. This pattern teaches the basic strip piecing process that is used with most of our star quilts, along with standard foundation paper piecing, curved paper piecing techniques, and curved assembly techniques. Also, it can be enlarged to 100×100 with the addition of the JNQ00252C001 border available for purchase with the pattern if desired. Kits will be coming soon to the Quiltster Marketplace!
